The Väinö mademorri is a really effective lure for fishing for mate.
Mori uses a piece of fish, a fish tail or a whole fish as bait.
A good bait fish is the shell, but others also work very well as bait.
The bait is placed on the hook of the morr. If you want to make sure that the bait stays on the hook, you can secure it with a small rubber band. The actual ice fishing is done by bouncing the morr against the bottom. First, make an announcement, i.e. a couple of higher drops so that the target fish knows that the bait is there. After this, continue ice fishing with 2-7cm drops, but remember to make higher bounces from time to time.
It is important that the lure hits the bottom, the sound of which attracts the fish to the spot.
