HEINOLA ORIGINAL GUIDE BLADE
A guide bit is usually used in a power drill. It holds the bit in place so that the bit doesn't start wandering around before sinking into the ice. This is also a safety issue. The guide bit also allows you to drill adjacent holes, for example to make a larger opening.
