It's a really effective method, and what's cool is you can swap the fly for other lures, even jigs. Great catches speak for themselves, and that's why it's hugely popular in Finland. Scandinavian Tackle and Finnish spinfluga pro Teemu Pulkkanen, along with his team of experts, designed this rod for tactical salmon spinfluga fishing, and that's how the Flutactic rod was born. The Flutactic 12.6” rod is a two-piece dream come true for salmon anglers. Even though it's super long, it's lightweight. It's made from High Modulus carbon fiber, which makes it sensitive and powerful during fights. The rod is 380cm long but weighs just 380 grams. It has 12+1 stainless steel guides with high-quality ceramic inserts. It features a low-profile reel seat that gives you a solid grip for casting, reeling, and tough fights. The rod has long EVA handles both in front and back. Thanks to the 50cm rear handle, you can really work the rod against your body during a fight. The front handle is 14cm long, giving you a good grip when the fish is on. Usually in spinfluga fishing, the leaders are long, so the lure loop is placed near the first guide. That way, you can easily wrap the leader around the reel first and get the line close to the first guide.
