Kevo Canyon is our pride and joy. You can experience it by hiking the 63-kilometre trail that runs along the bottom and edge of the canyon. In the nature reserve canyon area, you can ski on marked trails from 16 October to 31 March and hike on marked trails from 15 June to 15 October. In the fell area, you can ski on marked trails from 16 October to 30 April and hike on marked trails from 1 May to 15 October.

You can hike from Sulaojärvi to Kuiville all year round, but the 86-kilometre loop route through the canyon area is only open from 15 June.

Our updated map shows the entire Paistunturi wilderness area, as well as the paddlers' route from Karigasniemi on the Teno River to the Utsjoki branch and from Kenesjärvi on the Utsjoki to the Teno River junction. Paddling on the Kevojoki River is prohibited because it is part of the nature reserve.
