Santoku - a Japanese chef's knife for all kinds of cooking
Walz & Schöder's Santoku knife, or Japanese chef's knife, with a comfortable synthetic grip handle. The Santoku knife blade is 7" (178mm) long and 2.5mm wide, but the cutting edge curves only slightly, while the tip of the serrated side curves downward sharply. Santoku is at its best for all kinds of chopping and slicing. The blade is of German origin, made of stainless 1.4116 material. The hardness and toughness of the blade (56 HRC) keeps the blade sharp for a long time, reduces the need for sharpening and above all it means a long service life. The design of the blade and handle significantly reduces the risk of injury during use. The handle is pleasant to the hand thanks to its soft feel and material. Can always be cleaned at temperatures of 120°C/250F. The knives are said to be machine washable. However, we recommend hand washing and drying them to prevent wear on the blade and handle and to maintain the sharpness of the blade! All W+S knives are sharpened and finished to be extremely sharp. The blade has no ridges that increase cutting friction. The knife is packaged in a safe blister pack.
