An excellent touring bindings
The Haghus Hinge is an excellent touring binding with a hinge and quick-adjustment mechanism for cross-country skis and, in particular, glide skis. Fits shoe sizes 36–45; depending on the shoe model, it may fit up to size 46.
The ingenious design of the site
The binding has a hinge that makes skiing smooth, but it keeps the foot aligned with the ski and ensures a straight path whether you’re skiing on flat terrain or going downhill. There’s a stopper at the front of the binding to prevent the foot from sliding forward. The fastening system is similar to the adjustable straps found on traditional snowshoes or snowboards. On Haghus bindings, the straps go over the toes and across the back of the instep—which is the optimal position. In addition, the buckles are easy to tighten and release effortlessly. In many inexpensive bindings, the straps do not go over the toes but instead sit right where the foot flexes, making them significantly less comfortable to use.
