Fisherman's Channel Overdrive Trolling Rod

The overdrive is designed specifically for trolling zander and pike as well as inland salmonids. The rod has been developed to be extremely durable, as the two-piece blank has a tip section made of full carbon fiber. The tip section makes the rod, above all, sensitive, but at the same time really durable, and through the choice of materials, there is strength in the light frame. The rod marks the swim, the hooked fish stand out in sled planing work, and the raw power found in the base section enables even larger fish to be brought home. The lightweight rod, weighing only 225 grams, is comfortable to use.

Trolling rod quality and price

Trolling is a tough sport. The equipment is remarkably tough, the rods are tough both in the boat and when transported in bundles. Somehow usability and comfort have taken a back seat. Some of the rods are also remarkably heavy, meaning durability has been sought through material choices and thicknesses. Collaboratively implemented and carefully planned

Kalastajan Kanava and its partner Scandinavian Tackle set out to design a trolling rod that combines lightness, durability and usability, without forgetting sensitivity. The rod flexes perfectly when used with small planers, without being loose. When trolling with large sleds, the rod marks the fish nicely, and on the other hand, when trolling directly, the lure's swimming is transmitted nicely to the rod tip. The full carbon fiber tip is extremely strong and powerful, taking many of the rod's features to the next level. The same feature has had the effect of increasing the price, but in this rod, that aspect has also been managed to be user-friendly. The handles, reel seats and rod guides have also been selected with durability in mind, above all else.
