Väinö burbot jig

Väinö burbot jig– effective for ice fishing for morri mate

The Väinö burbot jig 40 g is a sturdy jig designed for burbot fishing, used right near the bottom. The lure works by bouncing it against the bottom along with the bait; the resulting movement and contact with the bottom help entice the burbot to strike.

A piece of roach, for example, is used as bait on the Morr hook. After that, the morri is lowered to the bottom and jigged against the bottom. This way, the burbot notices the lure and bait near the bottom, where it typically moves around and searches for food.

40 grams for bottom fishing

Its 40-gram weight helps the lure sink quickly to the bottom and stay there, even in slightly deeper water. Its sturdy construction makes it a lure well-suited for winter burbot fishing.

Three color options

Väinö burbot jigi 40 g is available in three colors:

• Yellow
• White
• Glow / Shimmering

The shimmering "Glow" color appears greenish in the dark, providing added visibility when fishing at dusk or in the dark.

A compact yet sturdy Väinö burbot jig

The total length of the jig, including the hook, is 65 mm, and the length of the jig body itself, excluding the hook, is 35 mm. This size, weighing 40 g, is a typical size for jigs used in burbot ice fishing.
