Elegancia knives are made from Japanese SG2 steel, which is considered the best knife steel. Three layers of steel are forged into the blade. Because SG2 is an extremely hard steel (HRC 63), the knife can be sharpened to be very keen, and its sharpness also lasts a long time.

The handle is made of lacquered pakkawood with a walnut pattern and features a brass bolster. The shape of the handle fits comfortably in the hand, and there is ample finger space below the handle for working. The knife must be hand washed and dried after use.
