Riisitunturi Korouoma 1:25 000 - Hiking Map

Riisitunturi National Park is known for its eerie, frost-covered spruce groves, peaks rising over 400 meters, and the cloudberry harvest in its hillside marshes. Hiking trails and a network of cross-country ski trails extend all the way to Posio. An earthquake carved out the rugged Korouoma canyon hundreds of millions of years ago. Ice walls tens of meters high attract ice climbers from all over the country. Winding through the canyon are the Korojoki River, lined with natural meadows, and a 20-kilometer-long hiking trail with wilderness huts and lean-tos. We use laser scanning data in our maps, which allows us to provide more detailed topographic information, including contour lines, than ever before. Our maps are printed on Tyvek material, which is waterproof and tear-resistant. Thanks to the ingenious page layout, all of the area’s most important hiking destinations fit on a single map.
