Pöyrisjärvi Wilderness 1:50 000

With its fells, dunes and river routes, the Pöyrisjärvi wilderness area is ideal for both day trippers and experienced self-guided hikers. The marked routes are concentrated between Hetta and Näkkäläjärvi. Elsewhere in the fells, unmarked paths are followed or routes are taken according to one's own inclinations. A comprehensive network of routes has been designed for mountain bikers. Of the rivers flowing through the wilderness, the Pöyrisjoki is demanding and also contains non-navigable rapids. The Käkkälöjoki is also suitable for novice paddlers. We use laser scanning data in our maps, which makes the terrain information and contour lines more precisely detailed than before. Our maps are printed on Tyvek material, which is waterproof and tear-resistant. Thanks to the ingenious sheet layout, all the area's most important hiking destinations fit on a single map.
