In the land of Santa Claus, the wilderness south of Koilliskaira is dominated by the fells, peat bogs, and numerous small streams typical of a watershed, which eventually join to form the Kemijoki river. A. E. Järvinen photographed the region's easily accessible pine forests and fells in many wilderness novels, which are now traversed by the UKK hiking trail. The traces of the country's largest forest fire and storm damage in the Jaurujoki valley tell of the natural cycle. Our maps are printed on excellent Tyvek® material, which is waterproof and tear-resistant. Thus, you do not need to protect your map from rain, nor will it tear during use. The manufacturer guarantees that the material withstands 20,000 folds. Thanks to the clever sheet layout, all the area's most important hiking destinations fit on a single map.
