The Green Toilet 100 Easy replacement tank is an excellent accessory for the composting Green Toilet 100 Easy composting toilet. For family use, one replacement tank is usually sufficient, but if use is year-round or there are more users than usual, several replacement tanks may be needed. With replacement tanks, the capacity of the composting toilet can be expanded indefinitely.

The replacement tank makes maintenance of the Green Toilet 100 Easy quick and easy. There is no need to handle incompletely composted toilet waste at all, nor does it need to be shoveled. Instead, the compost mass can compost peacefully in a full Green Toilet container while another toilet container is in use. When the second tank also fills up, the first one has likely completely composted into soil, which can then be spread in a suitable location on the property.

Using the Green Toilet replacement tank

When the Green Toilet composting toilet in use fills up, it is taken out of use and an empty replacement tank is put in its place. The closed lid of the replacement tank is placed on top of the full compost tank. Correspondingly, the lid that was in use is placed as the lid for the empty replacement tank. The Green Toilet's wheel system is moved to the tank that is being moved.

In Finland, toilet waste composts into ready soil in 8-18 months, depending on climatic conditions and the quality of the toilet waste. It is good to store the replacement tank in a sunny place, where it receives warmth from the sun to aid composting. A full compost mass in a Green Toilet replacement tank does not smell at all.

A few times a year, the compost mass can be aerated by poking holes in it or by turning the compost mass slightly with a pitchfork. Aeration speeds up the composting process. Leachate from the toilet can also be poured into the replacement tank's compost. The urea contained in the leachate accelerates composting and moistens the mass, as it can otherwise dry out too much, especially in summer.

In winter, a full replacement tank may freeze, which is not harmful.
